FLOAT-SOLV
HEAVY DUTY ACIDIC DRAIN CLEANER
LIQUI-OX LIQUID OXYGEN CONTROL
Liqui-Ox Oxygen Control is a fast-acting liquid solution that supplies fixed oxygen for aerobic biological treatment in lagoons, ponds, and waste systems. It’s ideal for sewage treatment plants, industrial waste systems, poultry processing facilities, pulp and paper mills, and dairy lagoons. Unlike conventional dry oxygen sources such as sodium nitrate, Liqui-Ox offers ease of handling, fast action, and efficient oxygen release when applied.
Why Liqui-Ox?
Liqui-Ox activates only when lagooned, allowing bacteria to trigger oxygen release exactly when and where it’s needed. This smart-release process enhances aerobic digestion and significantly reduces hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) and other hazardous gas emissions. It also helps lower biological oxygen demand (BOD), contributing to cleaner discharge and improved system efficiency.
Key Benefits
- Liquid form allows for easy handling, application, and storage
- Oxygen becomes available instantly once in biological contact
- Effectively reduces the formation of H₂S and other foul gases
- Helps lower BOD levels in ponds and treatment systems
- Enhances aerobic bacterial activity and breakdown of organic waste
Applications
- Sewage treatment systems
- Industrial and agricultural lagoons or ponds
- Poultry packing waste systems
- Pulp and paper mills
- Dairy lagoons and high-solid waste holding tanks
- Commercial drains and piping systems
General Dosage Guidelines
- Lagoon or Pond Treatment: Use 3 gallons of Liqui-Ox per acre-foot of capacity.
- Domestic Sewage Systems: Apply 3 gallons per acre-foot for standard loads.
- Poultry Processing Plants: Use 2 gallons per 1,000 birds processed.
- Drains and Pipes: Apply 32–64 fluid ounces per commercial drain or pipe.
For optimal effectiveness, Liqui-Ox can be introduced via drip systems in treatment plants or sprayed directly over lagoons.
SEBS Enhanced Treatment
For more demanding waste conditions, a custom SEBS microbial blend is available to accelerate solid digestion, increase oxygen levels, and control odor. SEBS provides three layers of biological treatment:

SEBS SW 104 SOIL WATER
Most dairy lagoons typically lack the capacity for extensive biological treatment or long-term storage, and they tend to be smaller than aerobic lagoons. While aerobic lagoons are engineered to offer a higher level of treatment with minimal odor, anaerobic lagoons are more effective at decomposing large volumes of organic matter. Due to their ability to handle both treatment and storage, anaerobic lagoons offer a practical balance between basic storage basins and full-scale aerobic systems.
Customized, all-in-one SEBS formulations deliver a triple-action treatment approach for faster and more effective results:
Aerobic action that targets top-layer suspended solids
Enhanced oxygen levels to assist in the breakdown of surface-level solids
Odor control for a more manageable and cleaner environment
Using an aeration or circulation pump can significantly improve both the startup and ongoing treatment process. The SEBS formula contains facultative microbes capable of degrading mid-level organic compounds like ammonia, phosphates, nitrates, and various minerals.
Anaerobic SEBS treatment works in the absence of free oxygen to break down high biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) waste. It softens and digests compacted solids, effectively processing over 90% of organic matter when applied with proper system design and management. With routine use, anaerobic lagoons can continue functioning efficiently for years under a customized SEBS plan.
Advantages of Anaerobic Lagoon Systems
Manure can be moved via water flushing systems, sewer lines, pumps, and irrigation tools
Strong stabilization reduces odors during land application
High nitrogen reduction lowers the amount of land needed for effluent disposal

SEBS HCRB 240 HYDROCARBON
SEBS Bacterial Systems is committed to the development and manufacturing of high-quality, environmentally responsible biotechnological solutions. Harnessing natural resources, SEBS integrates advanced technology to address a wide range of industrial, commercial, and institutional challenges caused by organic waste.
EST Inc.’s SEBS Bacterial System outperforms all current market alternatives by digesting more organic solids and fully breaking down even the most complex organic compounds.
DESCRIPTION
SEBS microbial cultures boast one of the highest CFU (colony-forming unit) counts, making them ideal for broad-spectrum biodegradation, including:
Oil hydrocarbons
Hydrogen sulfide (H₂S)
Grease
Detergents
Phenols
To meet growing demand, the EST product group developed SEBS — a synergized formulation of eight selectively adapted microorganisms, each targeting hard-to-degrade and even non-biodegradable compounds.
SOURCES OF HYDROGEN SULFIDE (H₂S)
Hydrogen sulfide is naturally produced by decaying organic matter and is commonly released from:
Sewage sludge
Liquid manure
Sulfur-rich hot springs
Petroleum refining (as sulfur is removed from crude oil)
The paper pulping industry
BIOLOGICAL & TECHNICAL EXPLANATIONS
Hydrocarbon and H₂S degradation occurs under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions:
Aerobic SEBS strains produce dioxygenase enzymes, which introduce two oxygen atoms into hydrocarbons.
Anaerobic SEBS strains use monooxygenases to insert one oxygen atom and rely on sulfate-reducing bacteria to reduce compounds without free oxygen.
This biological process effectively lowers levels of hydrocarbons and H₂S.
SEBS also includes Cyanobacteria (photoautotrophs) combined with Thiobacillus novellus strains, enhancing performance in:
Sewage treatment plants
Lagoons
Dairy and hog confinement operations
Wastewater systems with hydrocarbon and H₂S contamination
In aerobic systems, SEBS rapidly converts hydrocarbons into acetyl-CoA, which then enters the citric acid cycle. This catabolic chain reaction continues until hydrocarbons and H₂S are fully oxidized to CO₂.
Even aromatic hydrocarbons (e.g., benzene, toluene, xylene, naphthalene) are fully degraded under aerobic conditions. H₂S is also entirely converted into CO₂.

SEBS FOR HIGH-SOLID LIQUEFACTION & DISCHARGE
Most dairy lagoons provide limited biological treatment and have shorter storage durations than aerobic lagoons. While aerobic systems offer odor control and high treatment capacity, anaerobic lagoons decompose more organic matter per unit volume, making them ideal for combined storage and treatment.
Customized SEBS formulations provide triple-action results:
Aerobic activity for surface solids
Increased dissolved oxygen for better degradation
Odor control for improved working conditions
Use of aeration or circulation pumps can significantly accelerate both startup and maintenance treatments. The facultative SEBS strains also degrade mid-level contaminants like:
Ammonia
Phosphates
Nitrates
Other dissolved minerals
In anaerobic conditions, SEBS breaks down high-BOD organic waste, softening and digesting over 90% of solids with proper management. Anaerobic lagoons treated with SEBS can operate efficiently for years.
ADVANTAGES OF ANAEROBIC LAGOON SYSTEMS
Manure can be transported via flushing systems, sewer lines, pumps, or irrigation

ENGINEERED FOR HIGH-SOLID LIQUEFACTION & DISCHARGE
Most dairy lagoons lack the biological treatment capacity or storage longevity found in larger aerobic systems. Despite their reduced size, anaerobic lagoons are capable of breaking down a significantly higher volume of organic matter per unit of volume. Their ability to both treat and store waste efficiently makes them a practical alternative to both basic storage basins and larger aerobic lagoon systems.
Multi-Phase SEBS Treatment Solution
SEBS products are developed as customized all-in-one treatments, integrating three distinct biological actions for faster, more complete results:
Aerobic Activity: Targets suspended top solids, working quickly when combined with increased dissolved oxygen.
Facultative Microbial Action: Degrades mid-layer organics such as ammonia, nitrates, phosphates, and minerals.
Anaerobic Breakdown: Decomposes dense, compacted bottom waste in low-oxygen environments, treating high biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) materials effectively.
With proper lagoon design and treatment management, anaerobic SEBS can liquefy over 90% of organic matter, significantly extending the life and performance of the lagoon.
ADVANTAGES OF ANAEROBIC LAGOON SYSTEMS WITH SEBS

MUNICIPAL WASTE PROCESSING PLANTS AND SEWAGE SYSTEMS
SEBS Liquid Live Microorganisms, when applied to municipal waste processing plants and sewage systems, will reduce hydrogen sulfide, Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD). After the application, noticeable reduction of hydrogen sulfide, BOD and COD will occur approximately 30‒90 days, dependent on flow of influent entering the plant. For best results, apply product to the wet well, the last point where the sewage is pumped for distribution (or the first point where it enters the plant). In some cases, municipal waste processing plants and sewage systems do not have wet wells but only settling tanks. SEBS Liquid Live Microorganisms should be applied directly to the setting tanks for these types of systems.
For other problem areas of waste treatment plants, SEBS Liquid Live Microorganisms be applied directly to the location, such as the digester or the trickling filter.
SEBS Liquid Live Microorganisms should be used on a 3 to 1 ratio for the first 3 days (3 gallon to each 1 million gallons for flow per day). After the 3rd day a ratio of 1 part per million should be used on a regular daily schedule.
FOOD PROCESSING AND INDUSTRIAL MANUFACTURING PLANTS
For processing plants and industrial manufacturing plants with ponds, lagoons and other retention areas, SEBS Liquid Live Microorganisms can be used for treating their waste. Initial application should be in a ratio of 3 parts per million for the first 7 days of treatment and thereafter 1 part per million.
SEPTIC TANKS
A weekly treatment is all that is necessary for treating septic tanks. The application of the SEBS Liquid Live Micro–Organisms is quite simple: flush down any toilet leading to the septic tank, 16 ounces for each 20‒25 cubic feet of capacity for the first week. For preventive maintenance, thereafter, use 8 oz. each week for each 20‒25 cubic feet of capacity of each tank.
GREASE TRAPS
SEBS Liquid Live Microorganisms should be flushed down the nearest drain leading to the grease trap or applied directly to the trap. Use 16 oz of SEBS Liquid Live Microorganisms for each 20‒25 cubic feet of capacity every three days for the first week. Thereafter, for preventive maintenance, use 8 oz. twice a week for each grease trap.
HOG, DAIRY, & CATTLE FEED LAGOONS
Compute the number of gallons of water in the lagoon or pond plus the number of gallons of water flowing into the pond daily. For the 1st through 3rd day, use 3 parts per million (3 gallons for each million gallons of water by volume). Each day thereafter, SEBS Liquid Live Microorganisms should be used on a 1 part per million basis computed on the daily flow of the influent entering the pond. This product is simply applied by shaking the gallon well and dumping it into the lagoon or pond.
PONDS AND LARGE LAGOONS
Use 1–2 gal of SEBS in 100,000 gal of water for regular maintenance. For more severe crusting, use 2–3 gal of SEBS in 100,000 gallons of water.
SURFACE SPRAY APPLICATION:
Dilute one part SEBS with two parts water (1:2).
Use SEBS Activator product for faster activation and degradation.
Use plastic pump to spray apply directly on top of the water.
Apply SEBS treatment every two to three weeks until visible floating solids are digested, and the area is cleared.
After treatment continue with SEBS maintenance program every two to three weeks at half dosage or as directed by your dealer.
IN WATER APPLICATION:
Ponds & Lagoons: Use 15–20 gallons of SEBS per 1 million gallons. Pour product directly into pond or lagoon. Careful to distribute over the entire area. Use of aeration will quicken this process.
Maintenance application:
Use 10–15 gallons of SEBS per 1 million gallons per month for maintenance or as directed by your dealer.
Note: Follow directions carefully. Always consult your dealer or supplier for timing, methods, and to customize applications, depending on contaminations.
SEBS SP 417 SWINE PIT
Specific Enzyme Bacterial System (SEBS) is specially formulated to treat swine pits and lagoons by significantly reducing odors, solids, crusting, calcification, and gas emissions. It is designed for use in both discharge and closed-loop lagoon systems. This treatment can reduce swine pit odors by up to 95%, depending on barn age and pit condition. Noticeable odor control typically begins within one week of application.
Importantly, SEBS does not compromise the fertilizer value of the manure or reduce essential nutrients such as ammonia and nitrate, making it completely safe for land application.
Challenge Addressed
In swine pit systems—especially in high-load discharge and closed-loop lagoons—heavy organic waste accumulation leads to:
Persistent, strong odors
Surface crusting and bottom solids
Harmful gas emissions (e.g., methane and hydrogen sulfide)
Crystallization and calcification from uric salt buildup
Mineral deposits that clog pumps and blacken lines
These issues can degrade air quality, harm livestock health, and impair equipment performance and lagoon operation.
Solution
SEBS Swine Pit Treatment contains a synergistic blend of Bacillus and Pseudomonas organisms, biologically enhanced and stabilized in a concentrated liquid form. These strains are specifically selected for their high efficiency in degrading waste materials commonly found in swine lagoons.
The formula offers the following functional benefits:
Rapid degradation of solids and crusts
Improved sludge settling through consumption of Total Suspended Solids (TSS)
Prevention of uric salt buildup in pumps and piping
Reduction of hydrogen sulfide gas release
Preservation of nutrient content for field application
Benefits
Reduces odor via aerobic digestion
Minimizes hazardous gas emissions
Reduces animal death loss
Lowers veterinarian-related costs
Breaks down bottom solids and surface crusts
Decreases need for agitation during pit draw-down
Reduces fats, oils, and grease (FOG)
Promotes uniform manure nutrient column
Improves feed conversion rates and animal weight gain
Enhances relations with neighboring properties
Maintains full fertilizer value of manure
Directions for Use
SEBS Swine Pit Treatment is applied monthly and dosage depends on barn size and animal count.
~1,200-head barn – Use one 5-gallon bucket per month
~2,400-head barn – Use two 5-gallon buckets per month
~4,800-head barn – Use four 5-gallon buckets per month
Note: Avoid using a +/- headcount spread of more than 200 animals for accurate dosing.
Application & Mixing Instructions
Mix one SEBS Activator packet into each 5-gallon bucket of SEBS product.
Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes before applying.
Divide each 5-gallon mixture into four equal parts, and dilute each with additional water into four 5-gallon pails.
Apply one diluted pail per pump-out section (e.g., a 1,200-head barn with four pump-outs).
If outdoor access isn’t possible, pour the solution down the center aisle of the barn, spacing it evenly.
Important: Microbes must come into direct contact with liquid manure, below any crust or solid layer, for the treatment to be effective.
Timing Guidelines
Treat the pit within 30 days of pumping it down.
If the manure depth exceeds 2.5 feet, a shock treatment with extra SEBS is recommended, in addition to the standard monthly application.
SEBS DL 418 DAIRY LAGOON
Most dairy lagoons offer limited biological treatment and shorter storage capacity compared to aerobic lagoons. While aerobic lagoons are known for better odor control, anaerobic lagoons outperform them in decomposing larger volumes of organic matter. As a result, anaerobic lagoons offer an effective compromise between storage basins and aerobic lagoons, making them a preferred system for dairy operations.
All-in-One SEBS Lagoon Treatment Solution
The customized SEBS formula delivers a three-phase treatment approach for faster and more complete waste degradation:
Aerobic Treatment: Targets top-level suspended solids by increasing dissolved oxygen to accelerate surface decomposition.
Facultative Treatment: Mid-level degradation of organic minerals such as ammonia, phosphate, and nitrate using specialized SEBS microbes that thrive with limited oxygen.
Anaerobic Treatment: Deep pit breakdown of high biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) waste without free oxygen, liquefying and digesting over 90% of solids when used in properly managed lagoons.
Note: Using an aeration or circulation pump can significantly enhance both initial and ongoing treatment results.
Key Advantages of Anaerobic Lagoon Systems
Allows manure to be managed via water flushing, discharge systems, sewer lines, pumps, and irrigation systems.
Stabilizes waste to reduce odors during land application.
Reduces nitrogen content, minimizing the land required for liquid effluent disposal.
Supports long-term operation when combined with proper lagoon design and consistent SEBS treatment.
